This regional Asia eSIM covers 20 destinations with a single eSIM. In East Asia that means Japan, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, and in Southeast Asia Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines. India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh in South Asia are included too, as are Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in Central Asia. In each destination the eSIM connects automatically to a local partner network, such as China Mobile in China, NTT Docomo in Japan, AIS in Thailand and Telkomsel in Indonesia. 5G is available in most major destinations where the network and your phone support it, while in Vietnam, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan the eSIM runs on 4G and in Laos on 3G. Networks: China Mobile, NTT Docomo, SK Telecom, AIS, Singtel, Telkomsel, MobiFone, Airtel.
For a two to four week trip, 5 to 10 GB usually covers maps, ride-hailing apps, translation and messaging. The 1 GB plan is valid for 7 days and suits a short stopover, while the 3 to 20 GB plans are valid for 30 days.
Asia falls outside EU roaming rules, so if you travel on a European home plan, data there is usually charged separately from your bundle. Note that Cambodia, Nepal and the Maldives are not included in this plan.

Yes. Our eSIM gives you instant mobile data in Asia on the local networks, with no roaming fees. Your phone needs to support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked.
It depends on your trip. For mostly maps and messaging, 1 to 3 GB is plenty. If you use navigation, social media and some streaming, plan for roughly 1 GB every two to three days.
Right after payment. You receive a QR code on screen and by email immediately. It is best to install it at home over Wi-Fi before you leave.
Yes. Your own SIM stays in your phone for calls and texts. The eSIM runs alongside it, purely for mobile data in Asia.
The cheapest eSIM for Asia at esimzu starts from €5,49, with a lowest-price guarantee. You pay in euros by Bancontact, card or crypto and receive the eSIM instantly by QR code, with no app or physical SIM card.
No, those countries are not part of this 20-destination bundle. If you are combining Thailand and Vietnam with Cambodia, for example, add a separate eSIM for Cambodia or choose another Asia plan that covers every country on your route. Always check the country list with the plan before buying.
Usually yes. On a regular Chinese SIM card the Great Firewall blocks apps such as WhatsApp, Google Maps and Instagram, but a travel eSIM that roams via a foreign network usually bypasses that block. Still, install a VPN in advance as a backup, since it can never be fully guaranteed. In Hong Kong and Macau the block does not apply.
In Laos this eSIM uses the Unitel network, but on 3G only, so expect slower connections there: messaging and maps work, video is less smooth. In Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan you get 4G via Beeline, and in Kazakhstan 4G or 5G via Tele2 and Beeline.
Mainly for convenience on a multi-stop trip, for example Thailand, Vietnam and Laos, or Japan and South Korea. You install it once and the eSIM switches to a local network by itself at every border, with one shared data allowance. Separate country eSIMs are often cheaper per GB, even when you visit two or three countries, so compare before you buy.
