This Europe eSIM works in 35 areas: 26 EU countries, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, plus Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Moldova, San Marino and Vatican City. Popular holiday destinations such as Spain, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Croatia, Germany and the Netherlands are all included. Please note that France is not part of this bundle, and neither are Monaco, Andorra, Gibraltar, Turkey or non-EU Balkan countries such as Montenegro, Bosnia and Albania. In each country the eSIM connects automatically to a local network, with 4G and, in most countries, 5G. Networks: Movistar (Spain), TIM (Italy), Vodafone (Greece), NOS (Portugal), O2 (Germany), KPN (Netherlands), Sunrise (Switzerland), EE (United Kingdom).
For a weekend away 1 GB is enough, and for a week of city breaks or beach time 3 to 5 GB usually does the job. If you are interrailing for months, studying abroad or working on the road, the 50 GB (90 days) or 100 GB (180 days) plans give you plenty of room without buying a new plan each time.
With a mobile plan from an EU country you already roam at home rates in most of these areas: the EU, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and, since 1 January 2026, Ukraine and Moldova, within your operator's fair use limit. This eSIM pays off when your EU data allowance is limited, when you need a lot of data, when you visit Switzerland or the UK, or when your home plan is from outside the EU.
België, Bulgarije, Cyprus, Denemarken, Duitsland, Estland, Finland, Griekenland, Hongarije, Ierland, IJsland, Italië, Kroatië, Letland, Liechtenstein, Litouwen, Luxemburg, Malta, Moldavië, Nederland, Noorwegen, Oekraïne, Oostenrijk, Polen, Portugal, Roemenië, San Marino, Slovenië, Slowakije, Spanje, Tsjechië, Vaticaanstad, Verenigd Koninkrijk, Zweden, Zwitserland

Yes. Our eSIM gives you instant mobile data in Europe on the local networks, with no roaming fees. Your phone needs to support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked.
It depends on your trip. For mostly maps and messaging, 1 to 3 GB is plenty. If you use navigation, social media and some streaming, plan for roughly 1 GB every two to three days.
Right after payment. You receive a QR code on screen and by email immediately. It is best to install it at home over Wi-Fi before you leave.
Yes. Your own SIM stays in your phone for calls and texts. The eSIM runs alongside it, purely for mobile data in Europe.
The cheapest eSIM for Europe at esimzu starts from €1,99, with a lowest-price guarantee. You pay in euros by Bancontact, card or crypto and receive the eSIM instantly by QR code, with no app or physical SIM card.
No. France is not one of the 35 areas in this bundle, and neither are Monaco or Andorra. If your route crosses France, for example on a road trip to Spain or Italy, choose one of our wider Europe plans that includes France. With a plan from an EU country you can also switch your mobile data back to your own SIM while in France, since EU roaming applies there.
Not always. With a plan from an EU country you use your data at home rates in the EU, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Ukraine and Moldova. An eSIM is still useful if fair use limits your data abroad, if you do not want to use up your home allowance, or if your route includes Switzerland or the UK. If you stay in another EU country for months, for example to study, your operator may add a surcharge after a warning, because EU roaming is meant for travel rather than long stays. If your plan is from outside the EU, the eSIM gives you local data in all 35 areas.
Yes, both are included, with networks such as Sunrise and Salt in Switzerland and EE and Three in the UK. These are exactly the places where EU roaming rules do not apply: Switzerland is not in the EU and the UK left the scheme after Brexit. Some operators still treat the UK as part of their Europe zone, so check what your own plan charges in both countries before you leave.
Yes. The eSIM connects automatically there too, on networks such as TIM and Iliad. That keeps you online when you combine a trip to Italy with a day in San Marino or a visit to the Vatican in Rome. Both are formally outside the EU roaming rules, so with an EU home plan it depends on which network your phone joins: on an Italian network EU roaming applies, on a local San Marino network it may not.
