Coverage and networks

This Europe bundle covers 34 countries with one eSIM: all 27 EU member states, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, plus Turkey and Ukraine. You install it once, and in each country it picks a local partner network by itself, such as Orange in France, Movistar in Spain, Swisscom in Switzerland and Turkcell in Turkey. In cities and along the main travel routes you get 4G, and 5G where the partner network and your phone support it. In Ukraine it stays on 4G, via Kyivstar and lifecell. Serbia, North Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Moldova are not included. Networks: Orange (France), Movistar (Spain), Vodafone (Italy), Vodafone (Greece), Swisscom (Switzerland), O2 (United Kingdom), Turkcell (Turkey), Kyivstar (Ukraine).

For one or two weeks of city breaks or a touring trip, 3 to 5 GB covers maps, messaging and some social media. Staying longer, or making several trips within a few months? The 20 GB plan is valid for 90 days and the 50 GB plan for 180 days, while the smaller plans run for 30 days.

With an EU phone plan you already roam like at home in the EU, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and, since 1 January 2026, Ukraine. This eSIM pays off for Switzerland and Turkey, where those rules do not apply, when your home bundle is small or capped by a fair use limit abroad, and for travellers whose home plan comes from outside the EU and EEA.

Frequently asked questions

Does an eSIM work in Europe?

Yes. Our eSIM gives you instant mobile data in Europe on the local networks, with no roaming fees. Your phone needs to support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked.

How much data do I need for Europe?

It depends on your trip. For mostly maps and messaging, 1 to 3 GB is plenty. If you use navigation, social media and some streaming, plan for roughly 1 GB every two to three days.

How fast do I get my eSIM?

Right after payment. You receive a QR code on screen and by email immediately. It is best to install it at home over Wi-Fi before you leave.

Do I keep my own phone number?

Yes. Your own SIM stays in your phone for calls and texts. The eSIM runs alongside it, purely for mobile data in Europe.

What is the cheapest eSIM for Europe?

The cheapest eSIM for Europe at esimzu starts from €2,99, with a lowest-price guarantee. You pay in euros by Bancontact, card or crypto and receive the eSIM instantly by QR code, with no app or physical SIM card.

Do I need this eSIM if I have an EU phone plan?

Not always. In the EU, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and, since 2026, Ukraine you use your home bundle at domestic rates. The eSIM still helps if your bundle has little data, if your operator applies a fair use limit abroad, or if your trip also takes you to Switzerland or Turkey.

Is my home plan valid in the UK and Switzerland?

Since Brexit the UK is no longer covered by the EU roaming rules, although some operators, including most Belgian ones, still count it as part of their EU zone, so check your own plan. Switzerland is outside the EU roaming area as well. With this eSIM both countries simply use the same data allowance as the rest of your trip.

Can I use this eSIM when driving to Turkey?

Yes, if your route runs through Germany, Austria, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria, because all of those countries are included. Serbia is not part of this bundle. If you drive through Serbia, choose Europe (40+ areas), which also covers Serbia and North Macedonia.

How does this bundle differ from the other Europe eSIMs?

This bundle combines the EU countries, the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein with Turkey and Ukraine. Gibraltar, Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, Serbia and North Macedonia are not included. If you are heading there, choose Europe (40+ areas).
