Oman has three mobile operators: Omantel, Ooredoo and Vodafone Oman. After the completion of the 3G shutdown in 2025, the country achieves around 99 percent 4G coverage and around 90 percent 5G coverage. Omantel scores strongest on coverage and 5G reach, while Vodafone performs well on speed in the cities. Outside Muscat and the coastal towns, coverage is naturally thinner in desert areas.
