Cameroon has two large mobile operators, MTN and Orange. There is also the state operator Camtel, with its mobile brand Blue. Our travel eSIM for Cameroon runs on the Orange network, one of the two largest in the country, with 3G and 4G. In Douala and Yaounde, and in towns such as Bafoussam and the beach town of Kribi, you usually get good 4G coverage. In rural areas, the rainforest in the east and remote parts of the north, the signal falls back to 3G or can drop out, as with any operator. Networks: Orange.
For a family visit of two to three weeks, choose 10 GB or more for WhatsApp calls, sharing photos and navigation. For a short business trip of one week, 1 to 3 GB is usually enough.
Cameroon lies outside the EU, so EU roaming rules do not apply and roaming on your home plan is usually expensive. You install the eSIM at home before you leave and are online as soon as you land, without having to register a local SIM card.
